Seller Reliability

Does anyone have any buying experience with AjRichies of NY?

I see they sell well below the advertised prices of the big three internet sellers and I have read some good & bad reviews which is somewhat expected of any online seller.

Your input would be appreciated.

Tom

That's a popular question here. There are better sellers. Amazon, Adorama, B&H, Hunt's, Roberts, Cameta. Check here if in doubt.

I highly recommend Adorama to my husband. He has had nothing but headaches with them. Bought a referbished D800. It had dust he returned it its now been 8 business days that is their stated business policy. And still no return camera has been sent. Got a bit of attitude from the people he spoke with. And I have to listen to it endlessly. So if you are reading his from Adorama please email me. He paid a ton of money to expedite the original order and they are giving him the run around on the return. Not happy!!

We had this discussion just last week here. Search for "Where NOT to buy". Look on page 6 or maybe 7. This is the company in question. I have had no personal dealings with them but after reading all the postings here, I never will. Good luck.

Thanks everyone for your input.

After shooting around in the marsh Monday afternoon with some sunshine (for a change), I have decided to stay with my existing camera body.

It seems rather obvious that a new camera is not a necessity in improving your already fine skills. If you have a DSLR, perhaps you might treat yourself to a longer lens.

Mogul,

I'm using a Canon T2i and a 100-400mm L Lens. I considered a 7D for the extra speed but for the cost difference, it is a reach.

The T2i & 7D have a lot of common (Specification) features.

Lens is darn good also. Good glass trumps camera body any day.

With that combination, treat yourself to a nice photo vacation.

Now that the winter weather has broken here, my feathered friends will be returning from their Southern vacations.
