Saw this black Butterfly slowly crawling up the side of the pool. It was not wet but I suspect a bird dropped it as there is a nip in its wing. Once it got top side it stayed there for quite a while. I was amused at Holly, my dog, inspecting it without touching or harming this little creature.
inside wall of the pool
misshapened wing
Holly inspecting in a very gentle way
Just some miscellanies pixs. Whoops - shouldn't have the baby pix there.
Flower was struck and turned to iron
Somebody did not put it away.
This is my 53 year old daughter. Wasn't she a cutie!!
Interesting shots. Wish I could see your dog's expression with the butterfly. Why not the baby pic? Nice rendering from your camera. And, the rose reminds me of "Steel Magolias" steel roses????

Oh you are right! "Steel Magolia" Perfect. The reason I thought perhaps "Miscellaneous" was not the right area for the baby pix is that she definitely wasn't miscellaneous. We waited 5 years for her. And about Holly and the butterfly - Holly is a very gentle dog and very curious about every thing. Sometimes I say "nosey". She is great when I bring in a "foster dog" from the Humane Society.
Now about your pix. - It is beautiful. The lighting makes it beautiful. Living on the on the island you must have a lot of lovely pictures. Please share........
I took another look at the Steel Magnolia, since you so aptly named it. That pix could be improved a lot. I don't know much about making a pix better except by cropping.
In fact I didn't much like the pix till you named it. If you want be my guest - Can the pix be made prettier?
Love the iron rose picture. You asked if they could be made better so here are 2 versions. The first is over done quite a bit, which is what a lot of us do starting out. The 2nd is just adjusted a little here and there, a little contrast pop, a little sharpening, and a very faint vignette. Hope you enjoy.
Over- Done
Aah More Better
