I have been a photo hobbyist for 40+ years. During the film era, I shot with a variety of Pentax cameras. Made the switch to digital in 2005 with another Pentax. Upgraded to my current Canon 7D in 2010. Don't have a single "favorite" subject, but I love landscapes, nature, architectural details, and in particular, anything where water is present. Besides the 18-135 mm lens that came with my 7D, I use a Sigma 120-400 mm zoom and a Canon 10-22 mm w/a. Also use a Manfrotto tripod with 3-way head. I have not delved into HDR yet, but have been doing some reading & research on software. I look forward to sharing some pics and exchanging ideas with other members.
Welcome Tbell7D, enjoy and learn more.

Hi and welcome! Good to have you with us. Lots of great folks hang around here. If you need help they can and you can also make some awesome friendships. The site has a ton of folks now so some times it is hard to keep up with evryone. Start a buddy list of you folks you talk with a lot.

Welcome to the Hog. I recently started messing with HDR and it is fun and can help when there are extremes in lighting. I have found you have to be really careful to not "over cook" an image though.
Welcome! Have you tried to capture the Houston skyline with the Canon 10-22?
