In a press release issued this morning, Fuji spokesperson Ima Luney announced that Fuji will begin production on their new LHC line this month. (LHC means left handed camera)

"We are trying to woo customers away from the good camera makers, and increase our bottom line." Luney says.

"Our new LHC will be identical to all other cameras except for the controls will all be reversed. The viewfinder can be used with either eye, and the neck strap will still go on top, though."

When asked why they thought a left handed camera would capture a larger market share, Luney states "It's a well know fact that half the people who use Canon and Nikon can't photograph anything right!"

As the interns came to collect her for her electro shock therapy, so stated that they plan to follow up with a self changeing lens for photographers who are all thumbs.

Luney was noted to be wearing a t-shirt that stated "It's never too late for an April Fools joke"

This is a fun article - BUT - for those of us who are left handed living in a right handed world a tool or item made for a left handed person is a treasure.
In my 40 year working in grocery stores I used "ONE" cash register set up for a left handed person and that is only because the store owner was left handed.
Also as a hunter my greatest find was a left handed Remington Model 700 - 7mm magnum - special order for the same price as a right handed.

Sorry, didn't read it. Thought I was being original. I was originally going to make it a Canon announcement, but I didn't want a burning cross on my lawn. ;)

I believe the April 1 was originally from some Canon folks -- http://www.the-digital-picture.com/News/News-Post.aspx?News=4516

And in concert with that one... but this is REAL... did you know that on your mouse for Windows... if you go to the mouse utility in control panel, you can really switch the buttons and use the mouse on the left side of the keyboard.

It's a real benefit for the left handed people.

But moreso, it's a real kick in the pants, to switch a coworkers mouse buttons when he/she goes on break. Then watch the confusion when they come back, sit down and go to work.

Good for more than a few Chortles in the work place. Get back at those coworkers who are "surfing" the internet on company time. They get all flustered and can't get the internet off their screen when the boss wanders by.

While I think that would be very neat (I am a totally left handed person), I wish left handed playing cards were more available, I have fan my cards out upside down, and flip them over when I play!!! Living in a right handed world can be difficult, from scissors, to razors, to golf courses, to gun stocks, it is quite frustrating at times!!

Hey Cornman, was that you I saw shooting left handed down at the Grand River the other day?
