Hi all I recently picked up some hardly used equipment - A Gitzo G1327 Tripod , Gitzo5561T Monopod With Manfrotto Tilt head with Delkin clamp and plates , an Acratech Ultimate Ball head with clamp and plates , as well as Beike B45 Gimbal head.

I think I did well on the price $ 700.00 for the Lot i do believe the Delkin clamps and plates are perhaps middle of the road compared to say RRS, Kirk or Markins .
ch
The Beike Gimbal is a Chinese knock off but for as much as I am going to use it will more than sufice.

The Arca tech ball head- well its no comparison to my Markins Q-20 but it does look to be a good 2nd for perhaps my older manfrotta tripod.

As for the Gitzos Is the G1327 the earlier version of the current Series 3 ?? It does have a center column so not sure if i can get a Markins hub for it. ?? Ive tried finding info on this but other than some for sale on e bay or amazon - not much. any info is greatly appreciated

The Monopod GM5561T is I believe an up to date version Based on the Gitzo site.

All of the above is in Mint condition !! any thoughts , comments ?? did i say Mint ??

I am especially curious about the tripod. well actually all of the equipment !!!

you guys are talking Latin here. I've only heard of two of those brands. I'm looking for a monopod (never had one) for an Alaskan trip. Does it even need a head?

Yes you will need a head with that. Without it you will be limited to taking horizontal shots. Picture the screw hole on the bottom of your camera having
a screw ( from the monopod ) in it. Now try to think how you would take a vertical with our camera attached. -|=== . I was kidding about the tripod, I do own a Gitzo GT2542L . A great tripod and shouldn't have to ever buy a new one. I have a Gitzo off center head on it. As far as a monopod. I refuse to spend a ton of $$ on one considering as long as the leg is strong enough to hold my telephoto, I don't have to worry about its sturdiness as that is literally in my hands. Enjoy your trip to Alaska. Was there a couple of years ago. One of the prettiest parts of the world......in my opinion anyway.
