I have a Nikon D700 with a non Nikon battey pack for sale.

The camera is in excellent condition. It comes with two batteries, instruction video, and D700 book.

$1100.00, the buyer pays for shipping.

Selling this camera because I have a D800, D600 & D90.

Nice shots. Many sites to check shuttercounts. Just go to site and upload a photo. It will return a count. http://www.camerashuttercount.com/

The D700 is a formidable camera and for $1,100 I consider it a bargain. I own both the D800 and the D700. The former has been sent back to Nikon three times due to the very well know issues with green shift, left-side focusing problems in AF mode and dust on the sensor. On the other hand, the D700 has been a brilliant and rugged performer and it has never visited the repair shop; for my work, it is my instrument of choice. There are few new D700s left in the market still commanding a price of $2,500 - $3,600 (Amazon). The D800 was never intended to be a replacement for the D700. Hang on to it.

I agree with Julian. I would keep it and sell the D90 unless you are keeping the DX format for a specific reason. ;)

Thanks for the advice on the D700. It's a great camera and I've done well with it. I'll consider the advice, I'm under no pressure to sell.
Just too many camera bodies.

Thats a bit much for that camera , as it is getting a bit long in the tooth . I read a lot . And the censes is if you had to chose between a d700 and a d7000 for the same price , it would best to go with the dx over the fx so that would make your camera worth less than $850 cause i can get a new d7000 for that at future shop . I know the 700 full frame is a good camera but the d7000dx has more features . The only thing is the d700 is built stronger , i dont treat my cameras rough so . I would only pay $750 for the d700. If even that much . Or else put it toward a d800 instead .

As you said, you read a lot, which leads me to believe you never held a D700 in your hands to experienced its potential along with "the magic three" lenses, specifically designed for FX cameras. My D700 is my backup for the D800, but other than the higher resolution of the latter, I wonder whether I have them in the correct hierarchy. D800 = 4fps, D700 = 8fps, D7000 = 6fps. Hummm....
