you can make black powder at home, in your spare time in huge volume.

Buying a pound can of triple fg powder is a little easier.
But black powder is a simple compound any clown with basic skills can produce.

more "feel good" legislation that will not solve a problem.
As we know criminals do not follow the law, they will simply steal or or make their own, or worse binary explosives.

charcoal, potassium nitrate, sulfur= gunpowder

Much as the legislators would like too, they can not legislate the criminals out of the crimes

Legislators are mostly attorneys, are mostly showboaters with no common sense.

Do we?, Do we really cast a vote that is counted? Seema to be a lot of questions about that every election. Once again credibility sticks up its ugly head.

Will pressure cookers be next. Why don't we just have a police force that goes house to house and takes everything that the government feels will be a threat to their power as well.

The most interesting part of this article comes late in the writing:

"Politicians are well known for using tragic events for their own political gain, as seen recently by the addition of children as props during speeches and debates over gun control. However, the real issue is not the tool or elements used in the orchestration of a crime, but the person behind that use that should be the focus of any criminal indictment, or legislative regulation. And even as no suspect, nor full analysis of the bombing has taken place since the bombing, Senator Frank Lautenberg is choosing to propose legislation which would regulate black powder, and will potentially hurt a retail product that is part of the $67.8 Billion economic impact that hunting and firearm ownership adds to the nation's annual GDP."

Outlaw cars, they kill. Outlaw swimming pools, they kill. Outlaw peanuts, they kill. Outlaw kitchen knives, they kill. Outlaw bicycles, they kill. Outlaw all prescription drugs, they kill. Outlaw fast food, they kill. Outlaw trains, they kill. We will end up with two types of people, one living in a padded room affraid of life, or criminal because everything is outlawed and they refuse to give up their life even though the don't want to hurt anyone, the laws made them criminal.

Hey TrainNut, some of these politicians remind me the old gunslinger days, when every Tom, Dick and Idiot caballeros were trying to make a name for themselves by calling out the high sheriff and end up in the boothill. The politicians are the same. They look for any chance to make a name for themselves by coming up with idiotic ideas by proposing useless bills, and most of what they come up with end up on the boothill...They get elected to waste time in a cushy job.

mandatory nudity nation wide therefore no concealed weapons, no hats, scrafs etc to hide ones face, no hoody type shirts etc.
or are we going back to the days of hitler everyone witha number tattooed to forehead and forbiden to cover it or alter, gezzzzzzzzzz the idiots come up with some of the most absurd crap i have ever heard and yet no reasonable solution yet found.
We spend untold thousands + of dollars on them for years and the only ones who win are the lawyers, in less then 10 seconds folks lost their lives yet the criminal has 5 to 20+ years and we call this justice?

Surely you are not suggesting our legislators spend time trying to come up with a budget, fund our military, decrease the deficit or and other activity that would improve our country. It helps us all for them to spend countless hours arguing over pointless new laws like black power regulation.
