Hello everyone, Is it true that let say f/11 puts out more power than f/5.6 ...I thought it was the other way around..I'm talking about off camera flash,with speedlights and/or strobes...Thanks for your feedback...

If your lens aperture is set at f/11 your flash will neet to put out 4x more light than if it were set at f/5.6.

In addition to the comments already provided, you can think about the aperture size for f/11 vs f/5.6. The wider the aperture, the easier it is for the light to reach the sensor. When compared to f/5.6, f/11 is 2 stops narrower which requires the flash to work 4x harder due to the inverse square law which is a key property of light.

Some of the more experienced flash users not use ISO 800 it gives you a shorter recycle time and will not cause your flash to overheat.

The overheat problem is associated only with the older SB-900, not current SB-910 model.
