Been watching CNN? They still can't figure out where Waco is. Would definitely not call Waco West Texas. Fertilizer factories are bomb factories w/o a bomber.

Understand now, but then why are media saying Waco? Sensationalism? If West is where it took place...say West.

When I first heard about it, the local news said "Waco". My daughter inlaw told me it was "West". After watching more news channels I saw that she was right. Very bad reporting!!!

Cities named after directions can be confusing. Here in South Carolina we have a town called North. Another town is called Due West. There's also a Ninety Six.

In a nearby city there is a street named East North Street. That really confuses newcomers.

So go to North, turn left at Due West until you come to Ninety Six then find your way East North Street? Got it. Will be there soon...

Just to put you in a time warp...West is only 34 minutes from Italy. Texas, of course.

West is about 80 miles south of Dallas, and it's a great place to stop on the way home from Austin, San Antonio, or other spots south. The Czech Stop has great kolaches, klobasneks, and strudels.

The powers that be are "WHACKO" for locating a potential time bomb in a town area where folks live. A school, retirement home??? What sort of town planning is that.
Even with out the explosion, the poisonous emmissions are enough to make deformed babies etc. Ammonia gas is bad news. Whacko is not half of it.I'd be angry!!!

More on names: A big Iron ore exporting port off the west coast of Western Australia is on "Intercourse Island".
Guess what they call it?

While I agree that having them close is very bad news, but before blaming the plant, one needs to know which was there first! Was the plant there first and town built around it, or the other way around?
