I have a Nikon D300 and am thibking of switching to Nikon D7100. I will use the same DX lens 18-200 VR. How much improvement in resolution, if any, will it make?
Thanks for your advice and help

I'm currently shooting with a D300s not a 3200... different animal.
I have them both. The biggest improvement with the D7000 is a lot less noise at high ISO. The 7000 image quality looks about the same as the full frame 700. Resolution? Going from 12 to 16 mp isn't a very big jump. Still, the 7000 is a great little camera....
Woops, I need glasses too. You asked about the 7100, not the 7000. My bad (iPhone screens aren't very big).
I would stick with the D300s!!

I think I will Race, I shoot landscapes in RAW and my workflow already incluses noise reduction and sharpening. the high ISO and anti A filter are meaningless and since I compose in camera, the ability or need to have 24 MP doan't mean that much... my 20X24 prints look great !
I think it's all a bunch of Nikon/Canon marketing BS.
