I will play with Elements 11. or maybe Lightroom?

Regarding my senior moments, it's like I always say ...

"There's nothing right in my left brain and nothing left in my right brain."

Did the changes coincide with your personal taste, or no?

With your suggestion to me about the HDR mtn I posted, i.e., that it was too light, I went back and checked- I had not set a black point. When I did, the image looked much better. It now has more pop.

I like the way the image "pops" but, I'm seeing more blue on the hay bales and the trough in the foreground.

I don't think Elements allows me to "set" a black point. I think I'll have to play more with sliders in Topaz and Lightroom.

Is it better to set RGB rather than SRGB? I don't really understand the difference.

Good detailed history on the shot. Nice to know how, and with what.

It's overdone in my opinion. The blue in the trough on the right and across the hay rolls on the left detracts from the image. Also on the download there are circular arcs in the sky following the pattern of the more intense light from the sun. I believe this is from over-sharpening the image. I agree that the initial image needs "pop"-- just not this much.

Just my opinion-- others may like this

I have to say I tend to agree with LRF that the colours in the image are pushed a bit far in saturation, but again that is just personal preference. I too, have had a little play with the original image and processed it like I would through as close to as possible to my usual workflow given that I only had one exposure to play with.

That's Okay, Joe. I'm not trying to make them look 100% "real." I like the colors to pop. Although, I will admit that I should go back and reduce the blue in the hay bails.
