I'd like to share my photos as links to slideshows with music. Can anyone give me advice about the best way to accomplish this?

Are you looking for programs to create slideshows?
Try komando.com, click "downloads" and search for "slideshow."
Lots of good free programs.
Thanks for the advice. I'll try the Kim Kommando site for creating the slideshows. How do I e-mail the link to the slideshows?

I use Cyberlink Power Director 11

Adobe Lightroom can produce a very nice slideshow and embed the music.

Proshow Gold by Phototdex is the one I use exclusively.
If you have Windows (I have 7) you can make musical slide shows with Windows Movie Maker, which probably came with your computer. It's very easy to use.
Thanks for all the good info. My issue of main concern is, "What is the best way to share or send links to the slideshow so that others can easily see it at a good resolution?"

do it all the time
BTW, LR5 provides the ability to add a video to your slideshow... I have just finished an online LR course and, yesterday, the presenter showed the new features in LR5 Beta. And, he demo'd the option to add the video to a slideshow. Pretty cool... I like it.
Otherwise, some really good improvements to an already great program! There is so much power there, its amazing. It seems that with LR5, you will rarely, if ever, need to go to PS for anything.
