Just getting back into cameras and picture taking... Bought a DSLR to improve upon my pictures for internet sales etc... and found that I still enjoyed taking pictures of everything else as well...

Welcome to the hog, John.... You have the two most beautiful subjects to photograph. Kids and animals, whether dogs or cats. Good shot.

A great shot & very pleasing subjects. Just 1 suggestion for next time: A smaller aperture would have provided more depth of field (DOF) and rendered the child's face as sharply focused as the cat. Will be looking for more of your pics.

this picture is all about the cat, and her "look what I put up with" expression... I wish that this one had my daughter more blurry for proper expression of that sentiment.

What I am trying hard to learn is to compose my pics before I shoot them ie... background clutter etc... that first picture had a fairly noisy backdrop...

Here is one I took today that I took my time with and was well pleased with...
