Some suggestions: Both of these photos were shot at an ISO of 6400 which isn't needed in daylight. Although it gets you a high shutter speed and a small aperture you loose definition from noise. You should be able to shoot at ISO 800 and, in bright sun, have a 1/2000 shutter duration and be at ~ f/8.
