This is my try at a few Close Up's found in the yard and area.
The Killdeer is the one I have been watching and was shot
with T3i 70-300 Lens. All the others are T3i 24-105 L hand
held. I plan to use a tripod on another series. The Tree Frog
is a guest in our Sun Room and the wife found him sitting on
a wall mounted flower rack. It has been fun to try and find him
during this winter. mdh

Erv, Thanks Erv, we do like living out in the country. I have
good neighbors all around so we can go walking in any
direction from home. mdh

Robbie7, Thank you Robbie I like doing close ups of flowers
and I will use my tripod on the next ones. It seems that
all of the fruit trees and bushes are blooming at the same
time. It makes me feel sorry for my friend Colo43 and the
other people still having winter in Colorado. mdh

Second set #1,2,3.

I am wrestling with your images as posted. Whist IMHO they are beautifully composed, I think I am inclined to say they should appear as the download, more subject and less scenery.

This will not make me popular I know, debates have in the past raged about the "close up" definition. Please have a look through the gallery.

macro2009 I am sorry, the second set was not posted as a
close up. I was only trying to show what the close up blooms
in set one came from. This was my first post as a close up
category and I was in the wrong for posting set two. In answer
to your observation, yes they should have been cropped. Sorry
for the mix up. mdh

Thanks for your reply and your understanding. I will delete the second set because we don't want to confuse members going forward.

The killdeer is my favorite. Since they nest on the ground, is it possible we could get a bunch of nesting photos?

Dixiegirl, Thank you Donna, I was starting to worry about you
and was going to send a PM and see if you are A OK. We had
so many bushes in bloom at the same time that I thought I
would try a few close ups. I felt sorta bad after seeing Mare
with all the bad weather. You will be in full summer before she
has spring at her house. LoL mdh
