A Century Plant is getting ready to flower. It takes anywhere from 10-25 years for it to do this. The inner stalk grows at a rate of 1Ft. a day until it flowers and the one pictured is over 25 feet high already. Once it flowers it dies and new plants form at the base.

Such unusual plants they are with very impressive blooms. Hope you'll post a picture of the bloom.
