That made me curious and so I googled and found this list of the highest paid CEO's from last year. $11 million is just somewhere in the middle of the list.

http://www.forbes.com/lists/2012/12/ceo-compensation-12_rank.html

What's curious is that when you go to the last page to see some of the lowest paid CEO's that you will find names from some of the largest corporations. I guess that is not all that surprising when you think about the fact that they, along with their own financial advisors, are 'pretty smart folks' and therefor there are some good sound reasons for their executive pay being structured like this. Obviously it is for tax purposes, but are there other strategies at work here as well.

(Just curious, I don't begrudge anyone for how much money they make, ... just how they may have made it.)

My millions last year went to charity...the government said it was broke, so I bailed them out. My deserving CEO friends have done the same. My not-so-deserving CEO's now want to know if I'll give more this year. I've told 'em the check is in the mail. What anyone does with their money is strictly their business. When we die, a final settlement will be made by God - he knows a thing or two about charity.

I'm sorta' like you in that respect I guess. When my long time friend "Jimmy Bubba" died, I remembered that I still owed him $300 so, before the casket was sealed, I wrote him a check and put it in with him.

:D

Who needs that much money?
Why do they want it?
What do they do with it?

With the way Wells Fargo has screw up my Express Send recently, I'm of the opinion that the whole corporation isn't worth half that!

Just try to resolve a WF problem from outside the country....

I really don't think ANY one man, regardless of his title, is worth more than a million dollars.

How about all the professional athletes? A lot of them are making huge salaries, and they aren't earning it. Just look at some of the salaries the Chicago Cubs are makeing. Are they worth it? I don't think so.
