Hi Doug;
Without going upstairs and measuring, I'd estimate the diameter to be approximately 3/4" to near 1"
I will measure one more accurately in the morning

Based on your size estimation, your capture is 1:3 magnification (1/3 life-size), not macro, which is 1:1 mag (life-size).
