What a great ending to this year's Masters Tournament.
Argentina should also be proud of Angel Cabrera, he didn't really make any mistakes and played those last few holes brilliantly ... Adam Scott just happened to play them more brilliantly.

On behalf of all Aussies, I thank you for your kind regards. We have been close before but never managed to pull it off. Now where's that beer?

Congratulations to Adam Scott.
I could never figure out why Greg Norman was not able to achieve it (Green Jacket).

I remember watching Greg and Nick Faldo playing a few years back, thinking how happy I was that Nick won but also extremely disappointed that Greg's game seemed to collapse at the latter stages of the final round.
I think Adam has given Greg credit for the inspiration to win.

Agreed!! Glad to see Adam Scott finally win a major... Glad Angel played so well and never faltered... It was a case of who was going to win, not who was going to lose! Great finish to an interesting Masters.

On behalf of all us very happy Aussies - Thank you for your kind words and congratulations to both of the final contestants. It (the playoff) was played in the best spirit and best sportsmanship. I loved the way they congratulated/consoled each other at the end.
Great end to a great tournament.

I am not a golf guy in any way. Never played in my life. But somehow got into watching this game. I was rivited to the screen and for some unknown reason, was captivated by the drama and suspense of seeing 3 Aussies up there with Angel in that group. Back and forth, no one knew what would happen. Shots int he water, missed holes by 1", balls rolling backwards into the drink, the hillsides, into the deep rough, off trees, Woods controversy (I've long lost any particle of respect for him for his cheating and it was anything but Woods for me - right or wrong), playing in the rain no less and finally a playoff so equal that it looked to be cloned - it was a game for the books.

But the drama of the last hour as the 3 some were neck and neck was incredible. And on the 2 round of playoffs, Angel's ball sits 1" from the hole and Adam sinks it in from 20' away. NOW that is drama. Quite honestly, my entire evening was infested with energy, excitement and joy. Couldn't sleep I was so elevated. Damn - I might just have to take up this game . . . .

Cheers,

Do yourself a favor and DON'T take up golf. You'll never have any money left for camera equipment. I always thought it was boring and couldn't figure how anyone could watch it on TV until I began playing.

last UK winner was Nick Faldo, years ago. They say Tiger should have been disqualified but I don't agree.he didn't cheat, it was a mistake and he had two penalty points.

The rules can be complicated. Most of us Sunday duffers break most of them. But at that level....... The course officials didn't even catch Tiger's problem until a television viewer somehow brought it their attention.

Ya - and guess who the viewer was? The ex of Tiger's new lover! (Gotta love the revenge factor!!)

I just read on my Blackberry that it costs up to $2,800 a day just to watch these guys on the set - er ahh, the gold course - err I mean the golf course. Damn - after 4 days of this and a few years, I could buy myself a good video studio complete and ready to go!! And it doesn't get obsolete after the final hole is shot!!

Cheers,
Take 5 :XD:
