T4i 580EX II off camera flash problems. :(

My T4i says my 580EX II, as off camera flash, is not compatible with my camera. Can anyone help? I paid a lot of money for this flash for it not to work off camera.

If you get an off-camera flash cable it should work. Otherwise it evidently isn't set up for 'wireless' connection to the camera for TTL exposures. A flash-extender cable should allow you to move it off camera.

The T4i should work wirelessly with the 580 EX II. Make certain that you have made all of the correct settings as listed beginning on page 226 of the manual. Remember, the little pop up flash must be up for the wireless system to work. If you still can't get it to work, I would get in touch with Canon.

Tell us more. What does it do and what doesn't it do. Are you saying that there are thumb nails, but no picture in the thumbnail? Or are you saying that the card doesn't invoke LR4 to open to the Import screen?
Most likely you need to go to the help menu, the check for updates to get a new LR release since that camera is pretty new.

Lightroom 4.1 has full raw support for the recently released Canon EOS 650D / Rebel T4i.
It seems to me that if 4.1 supports raw for the T4i, 4.4 should also.
