Nice. I could live in that but the lady would want a very large motorhome. And why dont you people drive on the right side of the road.

Let me take a crack at this: Our traffic lights are Red at the top (vertical)and red at the left(horizontal) Right. Red being more important that we should stop in case of danger, right. So, Why is red at the top and red on the left?
We read top to bottom and left to right.
So, sometime I wonder driving on the left would be easier because of the way we read.
That's the way I see it.
Anyone got something else?

I am from Canada and now you confused me? Not that hard to do I have been told.....
I really like the idea of traveling in a van like this and my wife would go for this if it was for a week at a time. I would be heading to New Orleans as there is so much photo opportunities there.

Personally, I feel far more comfortable having my sword arm to the fore when passing oncoming strangers. Doing anything else would be just plain silly.
I tried driving on the right once. The only thing I have against it is the angry reaction that you get from other road users.

Aside from the obvious problems associated with switching to a different side of the road, the turn signal and windshield wiper blade controls are reversed. If you forget, you may just turn on the wipers instead of the turn signal.:-) My husband has done this in S.Africa and NZ, and we always laugh about it.
Here's one for you....If you're walking down the sidewalk, do you pass oncoming foot traffic with right shoulders nearest or left? (Note: I lay awake worrying about these things, so I really need to know) LOL.
BTW: I enjoyed seeing the interior or this "home away from home."

I think that typing the way I see it if a man is a gentleman then he walks with his right shoulder to traffic and the woman being a lady walks to the inside away from traffic and this would be with the pair walking against traffic. Walking with traffic the mans left shoulder would be to the out side and the lady would be still to the inside with her left shoulder to the mans right shoulder. Now passing is to the outside with your left shoulder to the inside if you are going against traffic and the left shoulder to the outside with traffic. Boy am I confused... are we in the USA or over on the other side of the big pond??? :?: :?: :?:

In the UK, European cars are one way round and Asian cars are the other way round. Just wait till your husband goes to give somebody an angry blast of the horn on the indicator stalk (turn signal stalk), and instead gives a not-so-angry squirt of windshield wash. He'll either feel extremely amused or extremely silly.

Our pavements are pretty chaotic (sorry I can't help with the insomnia).

No, THAT is the correct protocol for walking on pavements (sidewalks).
