Are these two product worthwhile for editing photos ?

I have a chance to get them both for a low price.

Yes... the software is great and the price/value can't be beat. I bought these two recently and have no regrets whatsoever.

Good. As a registered Non-Profit with my boating organization, The United States Power Squadrons, I can get the 2 for $22 for licensing. Thing I might get it.

Also getting Windows 8 Professional 64bit for this laptop for $12.00 and Adobi Acrobat XI Pro for $45.00

Burning up the card today for sure.

Totally agree with everything - but think seriously about Windows 8. I have not got it, but reviews have put me off, even the comments on the Hog are generally unfavourable (with one or two exceptions).

I've got another computer (desktop) with Win 8 Pro. Having good results with it after disabling the touch-screen and going with mouse controls.

My short answer: Yes!

My long answer:
Comparing: I was an avid PS fan in earlier versions then moved to GIMP, Zoner Photo Studio and other software for budget reasons. Upon returning to the Photoshop fold, I could almost feel the difference. Adobe products are robust, comprehensive and smoother than most others.
Lightroom: If you want to add a serious 1-2 punch to your arsenal, add Lightroom. The PSE/Lightroom combination is an excellent platform. Unless you're a professional graphics artist, you may not need anything else.

Seems that people think Win 8 only works well with a touch screen. Not so.

Im a LR user and just bought PSE 11 to toggle. I didnt buy the premiere. It seems it deals mostly with video. Where can I find good beginner tutorial for using PSE with LR? I wont utilize the PSE organizer, as I love how LR catalogs images for me. Ive never used PS before, so Im goin in blind. He he.

I have used various versions of Photoshop Elements for nearly ten years and at that price, I know you will not be dissatisfied. PSE 11 is all the photo editing software that most people will ever need.

Premiere is for video making, too hard to learn(better Sony Vegas),Elements have limitations as always, too complicated for simple photo touch(better free Picasa3), for more advanced work is not bad.I have find that for several different touch ups i need more programs to combine easy flow. Most i use and like is Paint shop X5,and View NX2 for Raw.

I use both. I love the Organizer (>14000 photos), use the Editor for basic photo editing (much more to learn) and have used Primier for a couple of videos (much, much more to learn). Got for it.

What is the difference from elements 10 to 11. I've been using lightroom 4.4, elements 10 and serif X6. Just wondering if it is worth upgrading to elements 11? Appreciate any comments.
