This is a very interesting story of one of the little known, sure-to-be-famous street photographers life. Most of her images have never been seen before, and MANY of her rolls of film have yet to even be processed!

Remember well when that story broke here in Chicago, MT. Thanks for the post. There are thousands of her photos that are still unseen. Hopefully, someday !

It is hard to believe that he couldn't find anything for his book (yet) with all those street scenes from all over Chicago. Instead, he has a while new book and a whole new career.

BTW, that was a '56 Chev, not a '57. Young kids....don't know their cars very well.

She was an extraordinary photographer. I admire her so much. Look how much work she did and I glad someone is preserving it. However, such a bittersweet story. Lived, worked and died in obscurity. No one is around who knew who as far as I know.

She is a tribute to dedication, focus and self-education. Only if you worked in film and the darkroom can you truly appreciate her greatness.

There have been a few shows in Chicago including one that may still be running here. PBS in Chicago had a wonderful program on her.

She is a tribute to how you can master your craft without spending oodles of money or a lot of fancy hardware and software.
