An interview with LolaPL

1) How long have you been into photography and what got you started?
I've been dabbling in photography for about 10 years but had more time since I retired from teaching 3 years ago.

2) Have you had any formal training and what kind of photography do you do most?
Formal training: just some adult ed classes and a macro class at Norfolk Botanical Garden. I'm an avid UHH reader, too, so learned a lot here! I mostly do close ups.

3) What inspired you to take your winning shot?
I was out looking for "something to shoot" and drove by a hardware store near the oceanfront (Virginia Beach.) The bikes caught my eye so I parked and gave them a go.

4) What equipment did you use and was there any special setup?
No special equipment, just my Canon Rebel T3, handheld.

5) Would you change anything if you could do it again?
Would not really change anything.

6) If you couldn't do photography what else would you do?
What would I do hmm...probably waste more time than I already do! I never had time for a hobby, so I'm really enjoying photography.

7) Is there somewhere we can see more of your work?
Facebook is my only posting site.

Woo hoo! I'm SO excited! Many thanks to all the UHHers who voted for my photo! Wow!

Ab interview with rsd381

1) How long have you been into photography and what got you started?
I'm just an amature. Trying to learn more as I have retired from most of my work.

2) Have you had any formal training and what kind of photography do you do most?
No formal training. Landscapes.

3) What inspired you to take your winning shot?
Trying to get shots with a different approach.

4) What equipment did you use and was there any special setup?
No set up. Just a better point and shoot.

5) Would you change anything if you could do it again?
No. I think you take the shot as you see it. I would like to have more time to set up but that does not seem possible yet.

6) If you couldn't do photography what else would you do?
I work some hours a week. Exercise every day.

7) Is there somewhere we can see more of your work?
Not yet.
