Beaver Attack: Angler Killed by Rodent in Belarus A fisherman on a trip with two friends to Lake Shestakov in Balarus bled to death after being attacked by a beaver when he tried to get a close-up photo of the rodent.

According to a NY Daily News story, the angler spotted the animal on the side of the road and decided to take a photo. The beaver pounced and bit the man's thigh, severing an artery, which caused him to bleed out.

The victim was not identified in the story. His friend reportedly tried to stop the bleeding, but couldn't.

Beaver can be very fast when they want to be, this one must of felt cornered to attack and the beaver was on the side of the road, I suspect the beaver was tying to get to the safety of the water and the man cut him off from the water , the guy with the camera getting a close up had a very small field of view while getting that "special " photo, I wonder how many shots he took before the kung-phoo ninja Beaver made her move.

Anything that can cut a tree down with it's teeth should be avoided.

Wow! And I didn't know they had teeth. I though they used chainsaws to build those dams.
