it's a hawk just turned so it looks like a owl and it is directly over a feeder doing what it does the small woodpecker is right under the hawk making lots of noise

Nice shots, I had a pair of Painted Buntings at my feeder last week. I haven't seen any of those around here for over 40 years.

Very nice!! I get all of those...EXCEPT the painted buntings!!! I've been trying...but they don't seem to like my yard!! Grrrr....

I have very heavy growth of trees and palms that my feeders are placed next to and the buntings are in that. Another feeder that is more open never has them on it, so they like cover
