New to photography.
hello! I am so very new and have came across this forum. At present have been reading a lot of books and learning to set the right buttons etc on my new Canon T3i SLR. I love reading everyone's entries and seeing your photos. Compliments and criticism is what I will need to help me with my journey to taking great photos. I am fascinated with it and looking forward to it being a great hobby a step at a time.
I am learning already just from observing your posts.
I have always used a disposable many years ago and have not had a real camera in years. So its taking me some time to just understand how a camera functions. I didn't even know what aperture or shutter speed was! So here I am the very much amateur!
Looking forward to being apart of the forum...

I am from a suburb of Detroit and originally from Canada.
I have been reading and starting to understand the camera...a little more and more. I have taken some pics to have one that I'm proud of and delete the rest.haha
Just thought I'd introduce myself to start. Still reading and overwhelmed by it all.
I have a great DVD that came with my camera...
Pics will be coming soon for comments. Can't wait.

dasiy when you clicked on reply to type in your post you went to the reply screen with all the smilies on it. underneath the big white field where you typed your reply there are three smaller fields with browse buttons on the right of each one. what you do is after typing in the reply field your post, click on the browse button to locate the file where your pictures are. a new window will open up.scroll down till you find a picture you want left click on the photo. where your file is located will appear right next to the browse button . the field to the left is for typing in your title. if you need to post more than one photo click on the next browse button and repeat. photos will only be displayed if it is in the GIF,JPG BMP OR PNG FORMAT. now this is extremly important!!!!ONCE YOU FINISHED SELECTING YOUR PHOTOS HIT SEND DO NOT HIT PREVIEW. if you hit preview you will lose your photo selections. when you hit send it may take some time untill you go back to the post screen and you see your post with photos. sometimes its just slow. hope this helps
