I took these over the last few days, I've moved up from a D50, that I loved.
I'm using a Tamron 90mm macro (old model) with it.
The shots are all straight off the camera JPEGS, no cropping no PP.
Should look all right after a wash in Lightroom I hope.
I urge you to play with that Coral & see the amazing colours you'll find in it.
Cheers
Baby Praying Mantis
Mushroom Coral
Good Night

Thank you,
I'm just having a look in Lightroom & have decided I need to go back to RAW, the JPEGS just don't cut it when it comes to editing to bring out the best, but learning is all part of the fun.
Brilliant set. really sharp and interesting subject matter.

JR1 thanks for checking them out, I knew I could count on you.
I'm overwhelmed by the huge amount of people that bothered.

I usually shoot in Jpeg Fine. I also have the D7000. That works for me. I must admit, though, I don't have much experience working with RAW format. Maybe I should be trying to learn. Will be at Eastern State Penitentiary this weekend. That should be a good opportunity to shoot some RAW images.

Definitely give it a go if you have the software to edit RAW, you'll pull so much more out of the pic's.
I think my D50 processes JPEGS better than the D7000, they seem very flat as you can see. But I need more time with my new baby to sort it out.
I have this set on Vivid & not seeing Vivid.
Cheers
You have inspired me. I am definitely going to shoot some RAW this weekend. I like the fact that the camera has two slots for cards. I can set one card to do jpeg and the other to do RAW. I agree with you as far as the vivid is concerned. I usually end up bumping the clarity in Lightroom on most of my images to get them to pop.

I just put this through Lightroom, it came up alright, but could do a lot more with a Raw,

Nice detail. Background handled very nicely. I think it is very good.
Look good to me and as far as the lunch room I used to have a rat snake which is a constrictor and the kids in the neighbor hood used to come watch (with their parents permission) the snake devour his lunch ,,,,, Great pictures and the coral is fantastic love the colors. DGB

Thanks guys
The people I show her grabbing the rat are ALL totally blown away by the speed it grabs it, blink you miss it, I've had her from a little thing slimmer than my little finger, she's now about 5 years old & around 9 foot, she's also gentle as a lamb & a fantastic pet to have just cruising around the house .
The Coral shot comes from my Marine Aquarium, seriously mind blowing colours in there.
