Today this male Blue Bird put on a show just 5 feet from my kitchen window. Never had them come this close to the house. He seem to have some kind of issue. Here are just a couple of the photos with minor cropping. I shoot them in RAW and used PS Elements 11 default to process them. Suggestion?

Great pictures and full of expression. Was your window closed? If so, the bird's issue might have been seeing his own reflection on the window. During this mating period male birds get aggressive. I've seen male birds repeatedly banging against a window trying to fight their own reflection. Generally they gave up after a number of fruitless attacks. Perhaps your blue bird was trying to analyze whether his reflection represented a true rival.

He was definitely watching me taking pictures. Even fluttered at the window.

Good point. The window is a larger picture window. I did not see the female, but they have been checking out a bird house about 50 yards away.

Nice shots. 2nd & 4th ones are my favorites. Nice catchlight in the eyes and good bokeh (blurred background).

Excellent pics of a beautiful bird.

I would erase the ( distracting ) object under the tail ( pic #2)
