Shame on you don, apparently the poster was having problems and was asking for help ( isn't that part of what this forum is about , helping others with whatever problems or questions they may have.
Seems to me why waste the effort to reply if your not gonna offer some real advice ie asking what sort of problems are you having , what have you tried, what does the owners manual say etc.
I actually commend JR for not being a horse's butt on this one .

Seems to me, you answered his question right off the bat. I went to the copy of the D60 manual on my iPad, looked in the index and also had the answer in less than a minute. If it is in the manual and the subject is listed in the index, what are you supposed to do beyond telling him the answer is in the manual. I guess we'll have to all get Adobe Acrobat so we can extract the page from the manual and post it (and get sued for copyright infringement). You're damned if you do and damned if you don't! Are you also getting tired of people telling you something isn't in the manual when you know it is?

I carefully followed the instructions for a set of Ikea shelving once....and ended up with a coffee table.
Go to the menu. Look in the shooting mode. It should have a place for date. When you have put in the date, there is another one that says print date. This will cause the date to appear on your picture. If you are shooting something that you will want to enlarge, take the date print off as it makes it hard to matt and frame. Date info will appear when you load the pictures in your computer as will the lens and aperture and time that you took the picture.

Just send this troublemaker over to one of my threads so I can have some fun with him.
Your default setting will have print date in off mode.
