I've only been to ND once, since Kayla just married last year. I AM, however going out there Thanksgiving week. I'm excited about that, yet very wary of carrying my camera with me. And SURELY not going to 'check' it in my under plane luggage.
Congratulations! I absolutely LOVE being a Grandma! You will find that it is one of those things that you just can't describe. :)

I always keep my camera with me on the plane. I love getting a window seat and entertain myself taking pictures out the window.
Have fun and take lots of pictures to show us.

I generally prefer an aisle seat as I get very nauseated on planes. I'm definitely a dramamine girl. Oyyy....

I've been a Gramma for 11 years, so yes, I definitely agree with you! Thank you!
Congratulations Susie, your story sounds so familiar. I know this is old news, but here goes...back in '71 we were expecting our first child, and my sister was expecting hers. My daughter was born January 14 and my niece on January 16. Poor grandma, she was traveling 50 miles each way to see her first grandchildren in two different hospitals. When mom came to the hospital to see my daughter, she remarked that it was the same room I was born in!
Anyway, I was presented with my first grandchild, Katie Karina who was adopted from the Ukraine last February.

Sorry to hear that. It takes a lot of the fun out of traveling.

On my way OUT to ND I took one Dramamine. That was not enough. When I got to my layover in Minneapolis, I took another. It helped. On my way BACK from ND, I took 2, an hour before boarding the plane. That was so much better. That reminds me, I need to find it, or buy more this week. If I am assigned a window seat this time, I may just stay and see what happens rather than asking to trade for an aisle. Would love to get some awesome above the cloud pictures!

Congrats Susie B.. grandkids are the most wonderful gift... don't be afraid of carrying your camera I carried mine all the way to Germany this past August to go visit 2 of my Grandkids... Dad and Mom stationed there for 4 years.. only 1 more year to go..
I know about close Grandbabies, we had born 5 weeks apart, 2 born 6 weeks apart, 2 2 days apart...
Have lots of fun and keep that camera close...

Is that you in the avatar? I know it sounds stupid to ask but you never know what people might use...see my swan. But, what I wanted to say was, you don't look old enough to be a mama let alone a gramma. Keep up the good work, whatever it might be.
Wow, don't I feel silly. You weren't even talking to me. :?
