This is what I've been up to this weekend. The pictures are not of me; but I was riding on the track as well. Thought it would make for an interesting diversion. Close quarters and fast chicane were shot at 1/800 sec knee dragging was shot at 1/200 to blur the spokes. All shots with 28-300 at 300 handheld.

Thanks Master Flash. Takes some practice, but I think I'm getting the hand of it. This was the first time at the track with Nikon D7000. Much faster AF than my Sony entry level that I was used to. Makes it much easier to get clear photos.

You mentioned you were on track; what's your mount?

Here's a couple of pics of my current rides:

The ZX10 has more HP than Kilo's
and is a satisfying machine when I feel the
need for speed, and Ive got the dirt wheels and tyres
for the DRZ. The yellow thing is as
versatile as it gets. I need no more
as far as motorcycles are concerned.

I have a 1990 CBR1000f that I use on the street. It is old and heavy, but it has a pretty high "cool" factor. Besides, you can't really go very fast on the street....especially in New Jersey.

On Track I have a pretty stock 1997 CBR600f3. It is pretty fast and handles well enough to allow me to get my knees down in the corners. The bike is definitely faster than I am. It's nice to be able to go fast an not have to worry about obstacles, traffic, cell phone attached teenagers or the local constabulary. Fast on the track and easy on the street keeps me happy.

I know what you mean. Ive done more than 50,000Ks on
the ZX10 and I can count how many times I've used full throttle
on one hand. Same goes for saying hello to the rev limiter.

The challenge of mastering it, is was attracted me to it.
I enjoy it immensely.

No question that the ZX10 is one of the all time great liter bikes. From what I hear, it makes a great street bike. I know some guys that use it on the track as well. Spinning tires, wheelies out of corners, bouncing off the rev limiter and such would be great fun on that bike. Those antics on the street can get you into lots of trouble though.
