I did this picture by putting glowing edges on the rose. I made the frame by using part of the stem and the chain was the chain from a necklace. The nail was from a piece of jewelry that I cut out. Then I put a drop shadow on it. Any comments welcome.

Im not sure what to think. I can't say I like it, but I don't dislike it. Perhaps its the subject matter that is not suited to the process. It must have something as I keep coming back to it. I keep looking at you tiger head and wonder how that would work with the process, but not the framing. Sorry to be negative.

Hi GWR100 Thanks for your comments. You are not being negative but giving your thoughts on my picture and that is what I want. It came 2nd in a club competition. I will give the tiger head a go and see how it comes out. :-)

Look forward to that, By the way, You have probably cleared my mind on this one, now you mention it this is a club photo, Again certainly not a reflection on you work .

Hi GWR100 Here is the tiger, I did one with radial blurr on it and brought the eyes and nose beak into focus, feedback welcome.

It is a piece of abstract art, and for some it is hard to appreciate, but as a piece of art it has a lot of merit as some of the comments say , they keep coming back to it. I like it for its simplicity and you transformed the rose to its core elements and it is eye catching. Not all photos have to be literal to be appreciated. I like this.
