Condolence to U. K.
My condolence to you all on the loss of Lady Thatcher.

I have no real memories or feelings for her, BUT I do know she was "got out" of her role as PM in the most disgusting way
Thank you. I for one mourn her passing. I think she was great for this country though I know others think the extreme opposite - and that is fine as having a political opinion and being allowed to express it is why we live in a democracy. There are some vile comments on this site today expressing unseemly messages - sad. RIP Margaret Thatcher

me too...
A fine lady, a fine statesman... one of the best leaders that this country has ever had ... steadfast and passionate about her country...
She had more balls than all of the rest of them put together .... The only people that didn't care for the "Iron Lady" were the miners that she defeated and the unions that she crushed .... good job in my opinion ...
She played a big role in the bringing down of the Berlin wall... showed Europe the door... but was a good friend to the United States...
I wish we had more world leaders that were like her .... the United Kingdom needs her now or someone very similar..
God Speed !
Thank you, Old Boots and thank you JR1 and bobbybob for your intelligent comments. I too mourn her passing, probably the best Prime Minister we ever had, after Winston Churchill. I was saddened to see the vitriolic comments elsewhere by the whingers and losers.

God knows we could do with an Iron Lady over here in Oz instead of the tin lady we have running our government. RIP Maggie.

I would add my condolences as well. God speed Ms Thatcher.
So !! if I read and understand well , Tatcher and Reagan were the devils , man and wife ?
I vote for them any day again.
I don't take any sides but I cannot believe some of the very offensive remarks that have been made, by members of this site, about Maggie Thatcher. I was really shocked & taken aback. No matter what views people have about her, she achieved a lot in her lifetime & probably more so than any of those who have been whinging about her. What has their contribution been to society & the world apart from acting like fish wives on this site. Don't forget that no-one is perfect & we all make mistakes. Her job was not an easy one.
