Have a history teacher explain this if they can.
Abraham Lincoln was elected to Congress in 1846.
John F. Kennedy was elected to Congress in 1946.
Abraham Lincoln was elected President in 1860.
John F. Kennedy was elected President in 1960.
Both were particularly concerned with civil rights.
Both wives lost a child while living in the White House.
Both Presidents were shot on a Friday.
Both Presidents were shot in the head.
Now it gets really weird.
Lincoln's secretary was named Kennedy.
Kennedy's Secretary was named Lincoln.
Both were assassinated by Southerners.
Both were succeeded by Southerners named Johnson.
Andrew Johnson, who succeeded Lincoln, was born in 1808.
Lyndon Johnson, who succeeded Kennedy, was born in 1908.
John Wilkes Booth, who assassinated Lincoln, was born in 1839.
Lee Harvey Oswald, who assassinated Kennedy, was born in 1939.
Both assassins were known by their three names.
Both names are composed of fifteen letters.
Now hang on to your seat.
Lincoln was shot at the theater named "Ford."
Kennedy was shot in a car called "Lincoln" made by "Ford."
Booth and Oswald were assassinated before their trials.
And here's the "kicker":
A week before Lincoln was shot, he was in Monroe, Maryland.
A week before Kennedy was shot, he was with Marilyn Monroe.
AND...................:
Lincoln was shot in a theater and the assassin ran to a warehouse...
Kennedy was shot from a warehouse and the assassin ran to a theater...
How do people figure $hit like this out. It's interesting, but makes me wonder if someone has too much time on their hands to compile this.

That's almost exactly what I said when I saw this on Facebook a couple months ago.

I remember first seeing this about 1965. Wondered about it then, but to research it out would have taken too much effort (no internet :D )
Now, a quick inquiry to snopes.com results in this:
http://www.snopes.com/history/american/lincoln-kennedy.aspAll just a fabrication of someone's mind.
I understand that most are myths. Snopes???
While Snopes does make some good points, it also stretches the point in other places. Snopes is not totally objective.

Sure I know that, but I think I heard this elsewhere too, just don't remember.

What on the web is? All opinions have a political, moral, economic or social point of view. The web has the ability to mix opinion and fact seamlessly. One just has to use one's native intelligence to sort out the frass.
I first heard this back in the mid 60s.....it was a record they played on the radio every so often......it is a Myth
Not all of it. I particularly like the part about Monroe.

Steve, you said;
A week before Lincoln was shot, he was in Monroe, Maryland.
A week before Kennedy was shot, he was with Marilyn Monroe.
There is a great difference between being with and being in.
Perhaps you meant to say he was "in" Marilyn Monroe?
Just curious.

With can mean whatever you want it to mean. For all we know they were playing pinochle.

Somthing like this was going around shortly after JFK was shot. I have it somewhere among all my other junk.
