This is a beautiful, but out of the way, area near my home and my shooting buddies and I went there last week. As you can see, it's not quite spring yet in Middle TN, but it will be this week. Hope you enjoy the scenery.

Nice images. Are you positive about the ID of #2 ? Doesn't look like a Jack-in-the-Pulpit.
I'm not a plant person, but a ranger in the area identified it as that. He also said there were about 7 varieties of Jack in the Pulpit in this area. I did notice about two different types and both had varigated leaves.

EarthArts - I did some research on this plant and it looks like a Trillium, based on the Univ. of TN database. So much for what the ranger said! Thanks for letting me know.

I also believe it is a Trillium called "Toad Shade" native to Tennessee. Below is a link for a photo of one that looks a lot like yours.
