Sweet! I once caught a male cardinal taking off. Wings were a blur but face was in focus. Nice job!

This was pure luck. I was watching him in my viewfinder and had a sense he was ready to go at any moment, but I wasn't aware that he tucked his wings at the moment of liftoff until looking at the photo afterwards.

I know that feeling, we snap away and then realize the lucky shots when looking at them after. My goal is just to keep it in focus! :lol:
