I would like to say thank you to JR1.A couple of weeks ago I had a shoot for the Richmond Irish festival here in Richmond va.I posted some shots of the Irish festival. The one of the little boy with the microphone he said was a winner. This little boy had the microphone to his mouth as his dads band played. That action just amazed me so I took the shot. With jr1 response I did send this to the organizers of the festival.I was not sure if I was going to do this.I am glad I did the organizers sent this to the band. The band contacted me yesterday asking me to meet them about becoming their photographer.A big thank you to you JR1.

I just think out of the box, B****** good for you
What really is nice and I say that with most sincerity is that you have taken the time to say.
I will NOT be alone in saying, "you will post more of them when you take them, won't you"
KEEP it up
To everyone "nothing ventured nothing gained"

Oh, next time get him an ice cream those mics are expensive eating
Yeah, ain't it the truth that sometimes it takes someone else to tell you that you've got something good going on? That is a great shot, and JR1 deserves the kudos for saying what he did. High fives all around.

Firstly, congratulations, and secondly, well done JR1 for having the time to praise someone. In this day and age we are all guilty of being the first to moan about something, but rarely take the time to say the praise when something is right.
Perhaps 15 years ago, I captured a "newsy" shot that the local newspapers missed. offered it to the paper (wanted to see it in print!)for their use. The editor liked it, ran it and called to see if I would like to freelance for them. That response changed my outlook and now, 15 years later I am retiring from my "real" job and will devote more time to photography, both personal and continuing a fairly successful news and event business. A little encouragement and recognition can go a long way!! grreat to hear these positive stories!

"In general, serendipity is the act of finding something valuable or delightful when you are not looking for it." Apart from remembering what Serendipity means, I just thought it'd be nice to enlighten everyone. It also comes from:-
According to the fairy tale, three Persian princes sailed off to make their fortunes in the "land of silk", an island called Serendip . (Today, the island is known as Sri Lanka.) Along the way, the princes made all types of wondrous and delightful discoveries about the island, and learned things they never expected. One such learning was purported to be the discovery that a mule blind in its right eye had recently traveled the same road. This was discovered when they noticed that the grass had been eaten only on the left side of the road.
So, there is a moral to all of this, and it's this:-
When in Sri Lanka always walk on the right, because all the blind right eyed mules will have "crapped" on the left...Now that's what you call...Serendipity lol.

Actually I enjoyed both, but being the chef in a hospital serving 10,000 meals a day is wearing, time for a little "stress relief".
