My husband, Bill, just retired from an unusual job that he really enjoyed. It was monitoring blast sites with portable seismic measuring devices. These machines measure and record blast induced ground and air vibrations that can result in property damage claims. The recorded data supports or disproves claim validity. Here are some of the photos taken on site. Talk about excitement!

Jim, he came home with some interesting stories- the job can be dangerous at times...pulled many a tick off of him-which was the lesser of many options!

Sounds great but must tell you, I read the title as "Unique and Unusual Vacations" and wondered how I would join in. Have a great weekend.

Put on your thinking cap and look around...doesn't have to be you...could be someone you know or someone you observed in your travels-ie a glass cleaner, painter, truck driver, architec, pizza maker, social worker...etc.

Wooohoooo, Judy, looks like you are "off & running". Your husband did indeed have an unusual job...very interesting. I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with. As my husband would say, "I'm gonna have to study over this a while" & see what I can get!! Thanks for hosting the challenge
