You have to watch this half time event.

Can you imagine!!-----?? This is really pretty incredible.

And if you think they're good in the beginning, wait till it nears the end! It is unbelievable!!!????

That was fantastic!! I am especially impressed because I never got the hang of jumping rope at all. I especially liked when they got like 8 of them using one short jump rope.

That is like running a marathon. Just try standing and jumping up and down with out a rope.

Fantastic.

I guess the second half of the game was pretty boring after that show. Especially if it was a bunch of white dudes. Like the movie title says "White Men Can't Jump" but those girls certainly can.

I had a gym teacher/coach in the 5th and 6th grade who was an ex-Marine drill instructor. In addition to it being mandatory that everyone played some football, baseball, and basketball we all had to do (or at least try) gymnastics, rope climbing, wrestling, and jump rope. We all thought jumping rope was for girls and was stupid until we put in an hour non-stop including reversal and crossing up the rope. After the second day we were loving it. We did that for five days. After that football practice was nothing. Even if you weren't worth a crap at some things he was always encouraging and never put you down. A real class act. If there was ever a discipline problem at the school he was the one you dealt with. Not the principal or VP. You were told to see Coach Turpin. Very few discipline problems as you might guess.

To bad there's no more Coach Turpins. It sure would be nice if things were like that today.

It'll never happen these days. I have two friends in coaching and my dad after retiring from the Air Force taught at a local public school. The regulations on the staff are so bad that there is no way to enforce discipline. My dad took early retirement just to get the hell out. When you give 20+ years to the military and learn discipline then have to put up the crap that goes on the public schools you can't tolerate being told to look the other way.

That is exactly the reason why I got out of teaching. Only I retired from teaching when I was 27. The kids drove me nuts. It got to where I hated to get out of bed to go to that damn school.
