Does anyone know the names of these flowers? I'm a bit of a gardening enthusiast and I like to know the names of my plants.

The top one's are a bluish purple and the second one's a reddish orange. Just kidding, nice capture however.

The bottom one is a shaving brush plant, also known as a paintbrush lily. I think it might be Scadoxus puniceus but since there are no leaves yet, I can't be sure.

They are called "live". Oh man there are people around here with terrible senses of humor. Sorry.

The first one is called Mona Lavender plectranthus or Swedish ivy. I've never seen the 2nd one before.

Your living in paradise. Orange Beach area? Love it down there and the Fairhope/Daphne stretch. I spend most of time around Destin these days. Be sure not to tell anyone about Fairhope. We try to keep it a secret.

I'm in Mobile, but it's just a short drive from here to the redneck riviera :-D Another well kept secret is the Bon Secour national wildlife reserve off Ft Morgan Rd. It's beautiful.

I've been to Fort Morgan. I worked around Mobile for about a year as a contractor for Alabama Power then the project took me to Columbus, Ga. When working in the Mobile area the company put me up in an extended stay in Daphne about a mile from Bimini Bob's on Mobile Bay. Great sunsets from the deck and some really friendly raccoon that we weren't suppose to feed but you couldn't resist.

There's no sunset quite like a Mobile Bay sunset. Beautiful! I know what you mean about the raccoons. They grow huge here. It must be something in the water :-)

And neither is this, Snecko, and I apologize for chatting on your post. Not good manners at all :-)

Sunsets on the deck at AJ's in Destin are hard to beat. As far as the size of the raccoons it's not something in the water. It's the table scrapes of those delicious cheeseburgers they serve at Bimini Bob's.
