Third try at commenting.

Glad to see someone posting to the People Photography section.

What do you mean by re-visiting earlier images. Did you go back and PP them?

Here are a few comments for what they are worth.
1. At first, I didn't like this one at all. It IS growing on me, though. I can see where the blowing out of parts of the image, kind of help some of her trouble areas.

2. Very nice pose and shot, I just find the hand too dark and almost not looking like it is a part of her. I can't put my finger on it, but I keep focusing on the hand. I love the rest, though.

3. Best of them all. Very nice job and PP work! I bet she's super happy.

I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Thanks for your interest and comments. Yes you are right, these are all the 2nd or 3rd time I have opened these images in Photoshop.

#1 was never a candidate for a 'beauty' portrait. I had a 'play' in Photoshop and ended up with a high key result.

#2 Agreed the hand is too dark and grabs too much attention but by the time that I had got this far it was way past my bed time. The man in the white coat was rattling his keys rather menacingly.

#3 was one of my past midnight flights of fancy. The model had access to it no comment was ever made.

I guess that this is another example of how subjective the photographic art is.

Agreed, it is subjective. I do hate to see when some posters feel the need to tear down other people's work, instead of just offering some tips and pointers.

Isn't people photography great? My old friend and mentor who had been a pro for 30 years before he took me under his wing, always tried to talk me out of portrait work. He said "people ALWAYS think they are better looking than they really are, so you have to find the one thing that makes them not so "ugly" and accentuate it" He sure had a way with words. :-) I miss him a lot.
