There are paths that go around and by shallow lakes at this Metropark and bird preserve which are convenient for taking shots from. I have a Fujifilm SL300 camera with a 30x zoom lens. I took this shot in auto mode. Thanks for your interest Scarlet.

I don't know what a 30x zoom is.
How far away from the bird were you?

Also do you find that your images tend to lose clarity and colour when you upload them on this forum? Mine seem to.

30x is 30power with the zoom, I had the lens most of the way out for this shot,not sure about the distance in feet. Not sure about losing clarity when I post. Some others here might be able to answer that one.
