It's snowing again today, and bitterly cold with high winds, but all you lucky people with flowers and sunshine have forced me to go out and raid the garden centre again. :D cc welcom as always :)

Very nice!!! I thought about doing that at my local nursery. They had so many beautiful flowering plants. I might have to steal your idea!

Stunning image Robbie7.

I saw a TV program the other day about UK garden centres, were they gained more revenue from the visitor experience; than the actual sales of flowers and plants.

This in essence meant that the visitor would wonder around the facility looking at flowers shrubs plants, but making purchases in the cafe/restaurant, gift section, clothes section, and garden accessories; tools, bird food, jams/ preserves, cakes, pottery.

This artical sums the situation up beautifully.

Hi cp :) America is such a vast country I am never too sure who is enjoying sunshine and who is knee deep in snow..lol..It is so frustrating here with what seems to be a winter with no end :( Seeing members posting beautiful wildlife and insect shots doesn't help, so desperate times call for desperate measures..thanks for looking :)

Hi Macro :) Thanks for the link, I think we all were aware that garden centres have become a place for many families to prioritise in a typical day out, but it is really interesting to read a well written article confirming this :)

I think this is a type of Calla Lilly. Nice shot of it too. The garden centers seem to thrive on camera nuts like us. Who else fills in their time between Valentine's Day, and Sweetest Day etc., etc.
