Waterfalls in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan
oooh where? I wanna go! :)
over 2 1/2 days spent time in Munising, Grand Marais, and Marquette, shot 10 of the waterfalls there are 17 or so in that area, and took in Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, needed two weeks to do this trip justice, maybe next year. The Porcupine Mtns. also boast over 90 waterfalls in the western U.P.
i like the first one, buy the second looks overexposed and out of focus.
nice! I didn't realize there were that many up there. We were gonna do Pictured Rocks in Aug. but since it's a long way up there we went south instead. Maybe we'll hit it next year
We spent the first week of Oct. in the UP.. It was beautiful. Spent the first two days in Cheboygan, then 6 days in Ispeming. I tell everybody, "Go straight to the UP, don't bother with the lower part of the state!". The pictured rock cruise was cool, but Copper Harbor, and especially the Porcupine Mtns, was where I wanted to be. Had nothing but sun the whole trip (my wife loved it), but this is not the best lighting for waterfalls. With the proper filters(ND, graduated ND), and a very light HDR touch (don't like the overdone look), they turned out ok.
Always love seeing other peoples waterfalls, thanx!!!
I really like the first one. Well done!
