I will be going to Nova Scotia later this year and would like to know if anyone had.

1. Must photograph locations
2. Favorite Resturants
3. Favorite things to do or see etc.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Peggy Cove in the Halifax area is a nice take for photos.

Peggy's Cove is nice, but you have to dodge all the souvenir shops. A few miles down the road is Prospect Cove with a terrific lighthouse and a lot fewer tourist traps.

I went in one shop that had a whale jaw bone in it.I liked it,but then again I was a tourist.lol
It's the secont time I took that bus tour but I wish I had more time to spend in that area but I would have missed the Cruise Ship.Maybe next time the wife and I will fly there and spend a whole week there to take in the sights.

Hey, if you're not a local, I guess you're a tourist. :)

We went a few years ago, driving from Toronto, and stopping and camping along the way. All the way around the Gaspe and through New Brunswick. Great scenery everywhere !!

Traveling all over the world is great, but we have such wonderful sights and experiences right in our own back yard.
If you ever visit Northern Ontario, you'll know what Stompin Tom meant when he sang "Sudbury Saturday Night".

There is one place I would go to see, but is a long way from Peggy's cove and probably not of much interest to others.
My interest is to see the Glace Bay Marconi station (Or what is left of it). My Great Uncle was Jack ( John) Philips, the Wireless operator on the Titanic and I would like to see the land station he was communicating with.

The Halifax Harbor is something to see where they had the Halifax explosion in the early 1900'S. Hank Snow is from Nova Scotia, maybe some things of his to see. (don't know). If you could go up to New Brunswick and across the bridge to P.E.I. it is a great trip and plenty of photo ops in P.E.I. Any of you in Canada know Lloyd Snow from Newfoundland? Great country singer/songwriter. I have all his music and love it. Much better then most of what comes out of Nashville.

Nice, I'm a Ham Radio enthusiast (since 1966). We always stop at Marconi Site in Cape Cod

The fishing village of Lunenburg ( A little south of Halifax) is a great town to shoot..actually everywhere is great. N.S. is a beautiful place and the folks are very nice. There are established, well marked routes around the island..for example, the 'Lighthouse Route'. Just follow the signs, and it's like a self guided tour. My wife and I will be spending a few weeks this summer..can't wait.

Definitely hit the Cabot Trail which swings around the norther tip of Nova Scotia. The scenery is super and there are lots of great photo ops. Also, do some hiking it the area. Plenty to see. Also hit Prince Edward Island on the way there. My first visit to the Island was when it still required a ferry ride from New Brunswick. Now I understand there's a bridge. Lots of quant fishing villages and red soil.
