Can someone please explain to me the difference between a Bridge camera and a DSLR?

Bridge cameras have a fixed lens. With a DSLR you interchange lenses depending on what you are shooting. Welcome to the Hog!!!

If you want more in-depth answers you can try the search feature here. I know in the past we have had some discussions about the difference between these. Just go to the search and type in bridge camera and see what it brings up.
A bridge between point/shoot cameras and DSLRs.
Looks and acts like a DSLR but without interchangeable lens, optical viewfinder etc.
Small(er) sensors to accommodate the megazoom wars.
