I think Martin has finally convinced me that paper is better than plastic. This is with a 5x7 box diffused with a paper towel. I think this is probably my best fly pic to date.

D300 with 105g + 20 mm ext. Manual flash @ 1/2 & f/22

That was last week, this week it's plastic plates, ha, ha. Yes, I love the paper towel, no hot spots and even distribution. Believe me I tried everything else under the sun and I still use a quality paper towel. Nice detail on the fly

The larger diffuser seems to work better but it also scares more of them off. I'll have to start feeding them like Geff. I saw only one bee and a wasp-- nothing much else. I did get a few with that feather-like antenna-- but nothing good enough to post. They were about "flea-size" so pretty small...
