I own three Olympus cameras and love the quality and versatibility of each. I have a stylus 720SW, an EP1, and my lastest is an OM-D.

Don't be afraid to set the upper iso limit at 6400, she can handle it.

You are so right. The camera is one thing but all the accessories and lenses sure can add up. But that is true of any hobby. At least with this hobbie you can capture some great memories and you get to create them the way you want.

You guys are missing a bet: OLY SP800UZ Its small, inexpensive and will handle anything from extreme close-ups to wide angle panoramas. Yes--its a point and Shoot--but its results that count !!! Alyn

Until you compare two equal shots next to each other in crappy lighting...

I saw your last thread, and had received my E-PL5 just before.

Now, I am going to purchase the minimal 15mm f8 three element Lens Cap w/lens incorporated. It could be considered an inexpensive prime, but it is not a "fast" lens and only has the one f-stop.

However, it makes the E-PL5 pocketable because it is the same depth as a lens cap. It is selling for $49. Since you now have your 5 in hand, you can imagine it being the size of a P&S with this lens. It's an Olympus product.

Amazingly, it delivers very good images for what it is. Here is a link on Flickr with a number of images captured with this Lens CAP Lens.
