When I first got my D7000 a year and 1/2 ago, there was a discussion here about problems with the nikon software. Have they been resolved? Anyone using the software now that can comment, I would appreciate it!

Nik Software and Nikon software are totally different products. Nik is owned by Google and offers 5 great plugins that work in Photoshop, Lightroom, and Elements.

AAhhhh...Good to know. Thanks you very much jpintn!
I can say I'm happy with the software. Was a little intimidateing at first, but watching the tutorials on the website helped a great deal. I bought the Silver Efex Pro just after google took over. I got it for the "student" price, which I think was around $49. Then the entire package was $350. They said anyone who had bought one of the softwares recently, were able to get the entire package for free. I looked into it, and it was true. I was able to download all the programs into PSE11 for no charge. Then, I thought I would try it again. I was then able to download all of the programs into LR4. Now I don't have to leave one program and go to another if I want to use one of the plug-ins.

Thank you so much for the information!
That's both correct and wrong at the same time. Yes, Nik Software and Nikon are different companies, but Nik wrote Capture NX for Nikon. Effectively, Capture NX is the Viveza plugin, complete with U-point controls.
